She’s the truth that divulges my secrets and the purity that sanitizes my soul. Loving her has never come with choice – it consumed and burned and before I knew it I was hers.
Dace
A man is defined by the secrets he keeps and the demons he carries. I never knew I longed for light until the rays burned me. Now, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to hold tightly to the light I’ve captured.
She’s a good girl and she’s come from a good world. We’re as opposite as opposite can be, but she’s the other side of my coin – the day to my night. She’s the truth to my secrets and the redemption to my sins.
Her heart is my salvation and her body is my obsession.
But loving her comes with a risk I’m not sure I can take.
Ella
He’s become my safe place when everything I knew disintegrated around me. In his arms, I find solace and safety and laughter in a time where I’m suffocated by pain.
He came into my world without any warning, conquering and claiming. They tell me he’s dark and dangerous. I’ve been warned and I know I should stay away, but I can’t seem to help myself.
He’s a craving I can’t deny when the world keeps tossing us together. I know there are things I don’t know, but every layer I uncover reveals a man my soul seems to recognize. He’s chiseling away my heart, but I’m unsure if he’s invading the fractured pieces, or stealing them. Either way, I don’t think I have the strength to deny him. Even if I did, I don’t know if I would.
Is it really up to me to decide if love prevails over darkness? Or, are some plans fated long before we come to be? I’m beginning to believe I was fated for him – crafted entirely to enrapture all that he is.

I almost enjoyed this book, but the timing was so ridiculous that I couldn't take Dace and Ella's relationship seriously. I liked their dynamic, their banter, and I particularly enjoyed his possessive intensity. BUT...it all happens way, way, way too fast.Ella loses both of her beloved parents in a car accident a week or two before Thanksgiving. She returns to school, meets Dace, and 3-4 days into their relationship they're very, very good friends. Ella believes she SEES and UNDERSTANDS him as others do not. And even though he's the Dangerous, Angry, Man-Ho with Tats, he's instantly and inexplicably all about her. They immediately begin spending all their time together, but only as friends. Good friends. Dear friends, etc.
Two weeks into their relationship--Ella declares that Dace is her Best Friend and tells him she loves him as such. Wow, that was fast. And oh yeah, they watch a scary movie and being sleeping in the same bed--as best friends. Except he sleeps on top of her, lying between her legs. The new friend zone, apparently. (Ella gets a bit riled up in this position, but apparently no, ahem, 'rise' out of Dace in this situation.)
BEGIN SPOILER----------------------->
Soon after, very soon after, they make out a time or two. Virgin Ella slows things down a bit, so Dace storms off and gets it on with another chick. He's only sorta cheating, because after all, they're just friends. Good friends. Best Friends. Ella is understandably crushed but realizes she's been sending him SO many mixed messages for SO long that he just cracked and thought it would never/could never happen with her. Except, what's it been, like FOUR FREAKING WEEKS? And he couldn't wait a little longer to see if he could escape thr friend zone before doing the bar fly doggie style in his office???????????!
------------------------> END SPOILER
By the time Christmas Day rolls around, Ella and Dace are happily together. In fact, Ella thinks that she's never been happier, which is great for her....except wait a minute, her parents DIED last month!!!!!!!!!!!!! So either she's the most emotionally shallow chick ever or the author really should have re-considered her timeline.
So in about 4-6 weeks, Ella loses her beloved parents, finds a new best friend, loses that bestie, finds true love, and begins living happily ever after. I can suspend my disbelief, but her perfect happiness so soon after such a traumatic loss is just too much. The devil is in the details. Although I could've liked the characters, lack of attention to timing ruined what might have been a good read.

Enraptured Demi Brother Book 1 Demi Brothers edition by Alannah Carbonneau Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
Ella is the good girl college student that has fallen on hard times due to a tragedy in her life. Dace is the bad boy MMA fighter that is only going to fight as long as it takes for him to raise the money to get the heck out of dodge. Ella needs a job, Dace has one for her, antagonistic relationship ensues.
Enraptured is told by the heroine in a first person point of view. I had trouble relating to or really caring about either of the characters; they lacked the depth of emotion that you would expect from two characters that have been handed a pretty crappy hand in life.
The book wasn’t bad, but between the handful of editorial issues and the predictable good girl/bad boy storyline, it wasn’t one that sticks out from the ever-growing pool of New Adult titles. It was a free read on and I’m a sucker for those, but I don’t know if it is one that I would have paid for.
I initially got this book because it was free and because the description caught my attention. While I don't think this was a horrible book, I don't necessarily believe it is a great book in the form that it is now.
To me, this was like reading someone's rough draft of a book. It is riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. Also, some of the wording gets jumbled up and you have to re-read a portion to see what is really going on. The main characters lacked depth, originality, and description. (How old WAS Daman, anyway?) The story line was a little too fake and dramatic for my taste. I liked the way it started and even when she met Daman for the first time,but his stalker-like tendencies were just a HUGE turn off. (Hey, we've already had Edward Cullen and Christian Grey....come up with something different!)
With all of that being said, I believe that the author had a good idea and had the best of intentions, but whoever edited this did the author a disservice. I noticed the author has put out several other works, so I am not sure what happened with this one in particular, but I am willing to read her other books and do a comparison.
The story line could have been great but some things just made me go what??!! I get that some relationships have blurred lines and this could easily have been one of them but it just got weird at some points. I did read the entire book and found myself laughing and sad at some of the story line. Some things though just didnt seem very well thought out. Like catching him in the act with another woman and then a few hours later allowing him to take her V card. I would have been mad as hell, regardless of how much I loved him, because of how much I loved him really. With a little tweaking to the story line it could be an amazing read. I still enjoyed it with the "what, no way?!" parts. I try not to do too many spoilers so I am going to leave it at that.
